Registering a Domain Name means acquiring the Internet Name like "www.myname.com". It can be done via different Domain Name Registrars on the internet. A unique name must be selected, as duplicate domain names are not allowed.

The websites of registrars can search and identify if your chosen name is already in use or not. If your chosen domain name is already in use, then you may have to modify the name to make it unique. You could also try to change the top level domians like .com, .net, .ca, or any other country suffixes with your domain name to see if they are available.
